KARACHI: Two Pakistan Women Football team players have been signed by Dubai based Rossoneri Football Club for the awaited IFA women’s football league being organised in the UAE.
The goalkeeper of the national women’s team 22-year-old Mahpara Shahid and 17-year-old midfielder Zulfia Nazeer would be in action during the three month league being played in UAE.
“Playing abroad always provide you with a chance to learn, you get to know how others are performing and it helps improves our own standards,” Mahpara said.
She also highlighted the fact that due to lack of playing time and other issues we don’t get to learn and perform at home so this is a much needed chance to further hone our skills.
Zulfia Nazeer who has six international appearances said that overlooking the monetary benefits, she is looking more into learning and improving her skill set, Zulfia also attended a short training camp organised by Barcelona FC in Dubai recently.
