Officials of Information Department have more responsibilities in new era of IT: secretary

Information and Archives Department secretary Muhammad Saleem Raza said that the officers of the Information Department had more responsibilities in this new era of information technology because the Information Department functioned as a bridge between the government and the public. This he said while presiding over an introductory meeting with the director general and directors of the Information Department on Tuesday. He asked the officers to discharge their responsibilities with full devotion and zeal. He said that the problems of the department would be resolved on priority basis.

The Information & Archives secretary said, “we will struggle for betterment of the Department. The department is mouth, face and pulse of the government.”

Earlier, the director general and directors introduced themselves to the Information & Archives secretary Muhammad Saleem Raza.

PRs director general, Press Information director Ms.Zeenat Jehan, Electronic Media director Sanaullah Rajarand Publications director Aslam Pervaiz Jatoi attended the meeting.
