PM Khan calls on COAS, discusses national security

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Tuesday called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa and discussed overall law and order situation of the country.

PM Imran Khan and COAS also discussed matters relating to the situation arising after the religious party’s protest.

They also reviewed action being taken against those who vandalised the public and private properties.

The prime minister also briefed the army chief regarding his visit to China. The meeting was held before the National Security Committee (NSC) meeting.

PM Khan then chaired a meeting of the National Security Council (NSC). Country’s law and order situation along with the security situation of the region were discussed in the meeting.

The meeting was attended by senior officials, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, heads of the armed forces, DG ISI and DG MO.
