BARA: A Pakistan Army soldier, who was critically injured in a cross-border terrorist attack in Khyber Agency, succumbed to his injuries on Monday.
“Terrorists fired from across the border on a Pakistani post in Khyber Agency critically injuring Sep[oy] Waqas performing duty at the border post,” read a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Monday.
According to the military’s media wing, the injured soldier embraced martyrdom at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Peshawar. Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa acknowledges the sacrifice of Sepoy Waqas for the security of the motherland, the statement added.
