Three children injured in Khairpur

KHAIRPUR: Three children were injured when unidentified attackers opened fire on their vehicle near Tharimiwah on Monday. Police sources said that Professor Walidad Kuber of Degree College Tharimirwah along with his three kids was going to his work from Village Kuber when unknown attackers opened fire on his car near Sui Gas bus stop on the Mehran National Highway. As a result, his three children Umair Kuber, 7, Sharjeel Kuber, 5, and Faizsal Kuber, 8, were injured and shifted to local hospital. However, the professor remained unhurt in the attack. The professor had a second marriage with a woman from the Chakrani community, enraging its members. Therefore, the attack is stated to be carried out by people from Chakrani tribe. The Sui Gas police had registered a case against 10 suspects from the Chakrani tribe.
