CJP in stable condition after undergoing angioplasty at RIC

RAWALPINDI: The Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Saqib Nisar on Sunday underwent angioplasty and was admitted to Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology.

Justice Nisar was brought to the hospital in tight security. RIC head Major General (retd) Athar Kiyani carried out the check-up in which it was revealed that one of the CJP’s artery was blocked. Angioplasty was performed by doctors to open one of the blocked artery to restore normal flow of the blood.

CJP has been shifted to a VIP ward. On the other hand, Rangers have taken over security of the hospital to avoid any untoward situation.

Speaking to the media, Athar Kiyani said that the angioplasty performed on Justice Nisar and now the top judge has been shited to a VIP ward. He added that Justice Nisar is in stable condition now.
