CM detects appointments made on fake signatures of principal secretary

KARACHI: Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has detected many appointments in the government departments facilitated by the “jobs mafia” who have been using the fake signatures of chief minister’s Principal Secretary, it is learnt.

After the detection of these fake appointments using signatures of Principal Secretary Naveed Kamran Baloch care of Faryal Talpur; the chief minister has ordered the Chief Secretary Sindh Rizwan Memon to thoroughly investigate the matters and submit him a report at the earliest, insiders told Daily Times.

An appointment letter containing fake signatures of Naveed Kamran Baloch read as: “Please find enclosed herewith an application for the appointment in Board of Revenue, Government of Sindh, Hyderabad.”

“Application recommended by the hounourable MNA Faryal Talpur Sayba may please be appointed with immediate effect as soon as possible on priority basis. This issues with the approval of competent authority to the Chief Minister Sindh”, the letter revealed.

The letter further revealed that Aftab Ali son of Anwar Ali Shah, Noor Ali son of Muhammad Mithal and Touseef Nawaz son of M Nawaz Memon have been appointed as Junior Clerks in the Board of Revenue, Hyderabad.

The sources told that the letterhead of the CM Secretariat and the signatures of the Principal Secretary to CM Naveed Kamran Baloch were fake and forged as the Principal Secretary was on leave on January 25, 2017.

The CM has appointed Chief Secretary Rizwan Memon as the inquiry officer to probe the matter and find the people involved in fake appointments, bringing bad repute to the Sindh government and to Faryal Talpur, sources added.
