Two killed, nine injured in firing incident

Two people were killed and nine others were wounded during a firing incident near Sindhi Hotel of New Karachi. According to officials, the deceased were identified Shahbaz and Shahid. The death bodies and the other injured were shifted to nearest hospital.

Meanwhile Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh, Dr Kaleem Imam on Thursday directed the officials concerned to prepare strategy over the current situation across the province including Karachi. In a statement, the Sindh IGP said that reserve platoons and Special Forces should be kept in a ready condition, monitoring and timely counter-measures should be ensured at all times.The IGP also ordered all the police officers to patrol their areas, make sure they protected sensitive buildings, mosques and Imam Barghas.
