Clerics create mechanism to campaign against terrorism

FAISALABAD: More than 28 religious and political organisations of the country devised a mechanism to carryout countrywide campaign against terrorism and extremism.

Representatives of different religious and political organisations from all over Pakistan attended “Unity of Ummah Conference” which resolved that Muslims as well as non-Muslims in Pakistan are united and committed for stability of Pakistan. The participants of the conference while addressing on this occasion stated that terrorist’s elements responsible for making attacks in Baitul Allah, Quetta and Parachinar are not only enemies of Islam and Muslims but of humanity. The leadership of different religious and political organisations also vowed that any bid to create religious and political instability in the country will not be allowed to succeed adding that unity of Muslims is need of the time to contain Israel-India nexus. The participants of the conference also said that all the Islamic schools of thought and religious sects fully endorse movement of the people of Kashmir and Palestine. The conference held at Jamia Masjid Usmania in the chair of Tahir Ashrafi, chairman Pakistan Ulema Council while among key participants include Abdul Hameed Wattoo, Tahirul Hassan, Zia Madni, Haneef Bhatti, Idrees Qasmi, Ibrahim Sialvi, Safdar Rizvi, Ghulam Ullah Khan, Khalid Rauf, Muhammad Aqeel, Zubair Abid, Arif Sialvi, Qari Habibur Rehman Yasin, Kalim Ullah, Saad Ullah Ludhyanvi, Javed Akhtar, Jaffar Naqvi, Umar Jami and Aslam Qadri.

The participants resolved that any conspiracy to create sectarian division among people of Pakistan will not be succeed. Baitul Allah, Masjid Nabvi and Baitul Muqadas are centres of Muslims’ unity. Indian premier Modi’s recent visit of Israel is part of great game of Jews against Muslims; however clerics of Pakistan will foil the conspiracies of Hindus and Jews against Islam and Muslims.

The conference also demanded that the government reveal conspiracies of Indian and Afghan secret agencies against Pakistan.

Ashrafi said that elements responsible for terrorists attacks are followers of Takfeeri mindset and urged on the Muslim and non-Muslim communities of Pakistan to contain the menace of terrorism and extremism with unity. He also said that enemies of Pakistan and Islam wanted to fan sectarian violence in Pakistan, adding that terror attacks in Parachinar and Quetta are against the whole nation, not against any specific sect.
