Here’s why Fashion Parade continues to strike gold

Author: Staff Report

Every year fashion events focus on introducing new collections, introducing new faces and spinning a new narrative – but only a few manage to do it right. One such name who vowed to break the monotony is Sadia Siddiqui of Mustang Productions.

The Fashion Parade creator has become synonymous with some of London’s most extravagant runway shows for Sub Continental fashion over the last few years. She has not only transformed iconic venues such as Kensington Palace, Mandarin Oriental Hotel and Saatchi Galleryinto phenomenal catwalks but also helped leading and upcoming couturiers carve their own niche in the international market.

One prime example is 2015’s show that helped the eclectic designer Ali Xeeshan woo Grammy award-winning singer Rihanna, whose stylist approached him to potentially customize the eyewear he showcased with his collection.

The prestigious Pakistani platform serves as an ambassador of South Asian fashion as it brings forward the best of subcontinent by featuring Indian and Bangladeshi designers alongside home-grown talent. It has showcased India’s premier luxury fashion brand Anamika Khanna, Rose Room Couture — both presented by Aashni + Co – and Jyoti Chandok in the past.

Within the four years of its successful running, the show has become a favourite international event for many leading couturiers as it has been repeatedly endorsed by big names such as Faiza Samee and Nomi Ansari. It has also seen extravagant collections by A-listers Ayesha Farooq Hashwani and Zara Shahjahan.

These collections have drawn a large crowd from the whole Asian diaspora in London whose interest lies in new trends especially in bridal wear, hence, boosting the fashion retail between the two countries.

This year Sadia will set a historic benchmark by orchestrating a first of its kind bridal and luxury prêt a porter show in a church – an iconic landmark in the heart of London.

One Marylebone will now host the annual showcase of Fashion Parade Bride & Luxury Prêt powered by Studio by TCS and co-sponsored by BMA Capital on February 6. Expect high fashion from Nilofer Shahid, Shamaeel Ansari, Maria B and Tena Durrani alongside Nomi Ansari, Saira Rizwan, Seher Tareen and Rani Emaan with hair and makeup by the dynamic duo, Aamir and Ambreen.
