Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar Tuesday said the condition of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province is worse than that of Sindh.
Hearing a case related to disposal of hospital waste in the province, the chief justice inquired about the volume of waste produced and the number of incinerators available to dispose of it. The top judge also asked the method through which hospitals gather waste and then dispose of it.
Health Commission director general told the court that government hospitals gather 173 kg while private hospitals 63 kg of waste every day. He further said 27 private hospitals have incinerators installed.
