The Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan’s (MQM-P) Rabita Committee members are going to resign collectively if the Rabta Committee does not announce intra-party election, according to sources.

MQM-P’s Sindh Tanzeemi Committee in-charge Aslam Bhutto announced that 18 zones of the city were under his control. He added that the Pak-Sarzameen Party (PSP) leadership was also in contact with him after facing a defeat in the July 25 election. “We are going to give a huge surprise,” shared Aslam Bhutto

Recently MQM-P Bahadurabad Committee met with the seven members of the ex-action workers of the party. Earlier in the meeting it was decided that intra-party elections would be demanded from Bahadurabad Group.

Before this, former Sindh governor Dr IshratulIbad Khan reportedly met Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) leader advocate Anees Khan and Raza Haroon in Dubai to discuss political matters and election results. PSP leaders Anees Advocate, Raza Haroon, Dr Sagheer, Waseem Aftab, Saleem Tajik, and Shakeel Umar have distanced themselves from the party, sources confined. Sources said that some members of MQM-P also met each other in order to discuss relevant matters.

Rejecting reports that the PSP member had met the former governor to form a new party, Advocate Anees Khan said, “I strongly deny any rumours surrounding the formation of a new political party.” He added that the purpose of the meeting was to only do away with differences created in past.

The PSP leader said that he worked with the former governor Sindh for past 35 years and the meeting was to resolve any withstanding issues. He added that he met the former governor Sindh alone and no other party leader was there. He said that political matters including failure in general elections 2018 were discussed in the meeting. On the other hand, PSP spokesman maintained that nobody from his party was aware of the meeting’s purpose.
