Twitter reactions: Luis Suarez dents Madrid title hopes with hat-trick

Author: Web Desk

Barcelona forward Luis Suarez stepped up to the stage and scored a brilliant hat-trick leading his club to a dominant 5-1 win over arch-rivals Real Madrid at Camp Nou on Sunday.

The Uruguayan scored from the penalty spot at minute 30 before doubling his individual score at minute 75 with a stunning header. 8 minutes later, with more holes in Madrid’s defence, the forward received a perfect pass which he chipped over Madrid goal-keeper Thibaut Courtois to make it 4-1 on scorecard.

With captain Lionel Messi out with injury, all eyes were on Suarez to perform and he did exactly that. Apart from Suarez’s hat-trick, Philippe Coutinho scored the opener, while new-signing Arturo Vidal scored the fifth and final 4 minutes before full-time.

Social media was full of praise for the striker. Here are some of the reactions.
