No Messi or Ronaldo this Clasico, but fans still argue over who’s better

Author: Web Desk

Barcelona captain Lionel Messi and Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo might not be taking part in today’s El Clasico, but the fans of both the individuals just can not stop trying to prove a point.

As Barcelona ready themselves to host Real Madrid at the Camp Nou without Messi – who will not feature in the game due to a fractured arm – emotions among the two fandoms run an all time high.

Even though neither Messi or Ronaldo are key subjects, or subjects at all, for this Clasico, what’s a Clasico if there is no talk of the two, isn’t it? At least the fans think that way.

Here are some of the reactions from Twitter regarding the never-ending Messi vs Ronaldo debate

This user accuses Madrid fans of being insecure

While the one below believes there should not be an argument anymore

‘A certain Lionel Messi’ now that’s harsh

But worry not, we are keeping it as balanced as we can

We have heard this argument a million times before, haven’t we?

Clasicos are always Clasicos

Safe to say we all can agree to this, right?

The pre-Clasico banter proves yet again that there would never be an end to comparison between the two legends of football. And if we were to have a say in this, we’d say let’s just enjoy all of it while it lasts.
