Efforts are reportedly underway to search for land and areas suitable for constructing the hospital.

The Saddar assistant commissioner (AC) identified two sites for building the hospital under the directives given by Rawalpindi Deputy Commissioner Talat Mehmood Gondal. Among the sites up for the potential construction, one is a 52.2 marla property on GT road near Rawat and the second is a 135.2 kanalarea previously used as a wheat godown, on Tipu road.

The Punjab government has directed that 60 to 100 kanalareas be identified for the proposed hospital.
