National Institute of Folk & Traditional Heritage (Lok Virsa) on Saturday observed Black Day by organising screening of documentaries on a large projector at Heritage Museum Hall, highlighting the atrocities being committed by the Indian forces in Indian-Held Kashmir.

The Ministry of Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit Baltistan in collaboration with Lok Virsa organised the event. Lok Virsa Executive Director Shaheera Shahid also attended the inaugural session of the documentaries screening.

The documentaries screening began playing from 10am to 8pm at the Museum Hall. A large number of students from various schools of federal capital participated in the film screening.

A large number of Lok Virsa visitors also participated in the documentary screening to express solidarity with the Kashmiri brothers.

The event was aimed to highlight atrocities committed by the Indian forces on innocent Kashmiri people struggling for their right of self-determination in IHK.

Banners bearing slogans in support of the Kashmir cause have also been displayed at prominent locations at Lok Virsa premises, Shakarparian.

A black flag was also hoisted at Lok Virsa premises on the day. Black Day is observed annually on October 27 as the day when India forcibly took over the land of Kashmir.
