The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) foiled a terror bid and arrested an alleged member of banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) on Friday.

The CTD spokesman said that an intelligence-based operation (IBO) was conducted in Chakri area of Rawalpindi.

“During the operation, terrorist Imran Shah belonging to TTP was apprehended with explosives, maps and other material used in terrorist activities,” he said.

The CTD further added that the nabbed terrorist had planned to target the offices of sensitive installations in Rawalpindi but timely action foiled the attempt.

The nabbed terrorist was shifted to an undisclosed location for further investigation.
