Kashmir remains the core unresolved agenda: COAS

Author: Staff Report

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa on Thursday visited the troops deployed at the Line of Control (LoC) in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), the military’s media wing said in a statement.

The army chief during his visit to Sarpir and Pandu sectors appreciated the operational readiness and high morale of the troops, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The army chief said the Kashmir issue continues to be the ‘core unresolved agenda’, adding, “We stand by the Kashmiris in their just historical stance [of right to self-determination].”

Gen Bajwa said the Pakistan Army was fully invested in peace and stability of the region. “However, we are ready and resolute in defending the motherland against any misadventure,” he reiterated.
