PM to inaugurate M9 Karachi to Hyderabad Motorway tomorrow

HYDERABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will inaugurate the first section of the M9 Karachi-Hyderabad Motorway at Nooriabadon on Friday. The Frontier Works Organization (FWO) was carrying out the project by converting the existing Super Highway into a six-lane dual carriage motorway. The total cost of the project is Rs 46.78 billion and will be constructed in four sections. Officials disclosed that the 132 km Karachi-Hyderabad Motorway will be completed by October this year. The M9 Motorway will have seven inter-changes, two service areas at the midway points and 16 toll plazas on the entry and exit points. The FWO completed the first phase within the stipulated time as promised by its chief Lt. General Mohammed Afzal during the period where the ground was prepared in 2015.
