LARKANA: A meeting of private medical centres and hospitals (PMCs) was held in Larkana under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Larkana, Kashif Ali Tipu on Wednesday. The PMCs representatives admitted that in general, hospital waste was being disposed of along with municipal waste since they have no proper medical disposal method available in their respective hospitals. It was decided that the owners of hospitals should ensure compliance of the Hospital Waste Rules, 2005 & 2014 and an incinerator should be arranged or installed within the premises of hospitals and centers within a week.
