LAHORE: Regardless of Sunday being a holiday, Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar met with people who came to see him from different cities at the CM Office.

He sat on the ground with the people and listened to their problems and also issued orders for solution on the spot. Despite being a public holiday, the Punjab CM has not only seen visitors but also kept on performing his official responsibilities.

While conversing with the people, the chief minister said that the vision of PM Imran Khan is assurance of peaceful, prosperous and developed Pakistan and Punjab will take the lead in this new Pakistan. He said that we all have to play our part in the construction of New Pakistan. It is the prime objective of the government to establish rule of law and transparency in every walk of life. Furthermore, he added that Punjab is heading forward speedily on the 100 days plan of PM Imran Khan. In order to bring the real change, reforms are being introduced in education, health, tourism and other sectors. The CM said that their every moment is being utilised to safeguard the interest of public and their better future. The aim of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) government is to fulfill the promise of change by raising the living standard of common man and we are working hard to move forward the projects of public welfare keeping in view our national interests. He said that people will soon feel a positive change in the features of new Pakistan.

“We have to utilise all energies to make Pakistan developed and prosperous,” he added. The CM further shared that he himself is a common man and is well aware of their issues so his post is dedicated for public service. He said that he knows well about the problems of common man that is why he keeps a direct contact with them and meets them daily. He assured that they will fulfill the mission of prosperity of the common man and will facilitate them at any cost by resolving their issues. Change is inevitable, real and approaching, he added.

Separately, Sardar Usman Buzdar said that public service is our only agenda and we will nip the evil of corruption and nepotism in bud.

This was stated by the CM during his meeting with the Chief Sectary Yousaf Naseem Khokhar who called on him here and discussed issues related to administrative matters, good governance, transparency and promotion of simplicity.

The CM said that he had empowered the ministers and had made them fully independent to take any decision regarding their departments. With powers come responsibility and it is necessary to fulfill the call of justice in every matter, he added.

Separately, Federal Minister Makhdoom Khusro Bakhtiar and Provincial Minister Hashim Jawan Bakht called on Usman Buzdar at the CM office.

During the meeting, the CM said that the PTI government is determined to compensate for the miseries of South Punjab and the dream of making it into a separate province will come true under our rule. He said that South Punjab and under-privileged areas will be given preference in development programmes and people of South Punjab will be the first ones to yield the fruit of change. He said that providing basic facilities and solving the issues of people of South Punjab is our utmost priority and a comprehensive policy has been devised to bring the results of change to these people. South Punjab is very important in the construction of a New Pakistan and we will change the situation of hospitals and educational institutions in order to uplift the living standard of people there.
