Barcelona captain Lionel Messi was ruled out for 3 weeks on Sunday after fracturing his right arm against Sevilla during a Spanish La Liga fixture.
A couple of minutes after putting the hosts 2-0 up against Sevilla, Messi suffered an awkward fall, twisting his right arm. Tests revealed that he suffered a fracture and will be out for at least 3 weeks, FC Barcelona announced via their social media account.
The Barca captain’s injury comes at a crucial time for the team as they have some tough fixtures coming ahead next week. Midweek, the Blaugranes face Inter Milan in UEFA Champions League, and on Sunday, the team faces arch-rivals Real Madrid in this season’s first El Clasico.
Minutes before fracturing his arm, this is what the magician pulled out of his hat.
His injury has got Barcelona fans all worried and disappointed at the same time.
It is going to be a weird feeling not seeing Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi feature in an El Clasico.
The GOAT will return soon.
