ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has taken resignations from two members of National Assembly to accommodate PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Co-Chairman Asif Zardari.

Sources told Daily Times that the resignations would be presented to the National Assembly speaker once Zardari’s schedule for return to Pakistan surfaces. Sources said that it would be decided later that whether Bilawal or Zardari would contest elections first. They added that there is no truth in reports that the PPP leaders are not going into elections due to Panama leaks case.

He said that if the Supreme Court would give a verdict against the Prime Minister in the Panama case, in that case the PML-N could also announce early elections to gather the sympathies of the people.
