ISLAMABAD: Children of several officers of the federal police are found allegedly involved in burglaries, robberies and street crimes.

Sources told Daily Times that the police was not only fully aware of their involvement in the incidents of snatching purse, cash, mobile phones but they had also arrested several members of this gang. But they have to set them free soon after arrest on one telephone call from the high ups of the police.

Well placed sources said that over 11 cases of robberies and banditries have been registered in different police stations against Faisal and Waqas who are sons of federal police employees. These police stations are Ramna, Shalimar, Margalla and I-9.

It is evident from police records that CIA Police had conducted a raid in Christian cemetery H-8 some time back and arrested 5 suspects who were involved in street crimes. Two among these suspects namely Majid and Tanvir were identified as sons of federal police officers.

Police sources said these suspects are involved in several cases of purse snatching and cash and mobile phone snatching. They commit their offences mostly in sectors G-11, G-10, F-11, F-8. F-7 and F-6.

Police sources said that the sons of police officers who are found involved in street crimes and other offences were aged between 18 to 24 years.

All the luxuries of life are available in their homes and even then they commit crimes because of the unrestrained liberty given to them by their parents. It is the main cause of their sliding into a cobweb of crimes.
