LAHORE: Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique stated that the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) has been a victim of character-assassination.

The minister gave the opponents a piece of his mind at the PML-N convention at Al-Hamra Cultural Complex, Lahore. He commented that we not only master the art of politics but also welfare.

“When we came into power, the country was facing severe financial crisis and it was claimed that Pakistan would be bankrupt till 2018,” Saad Rafique revealed. He further said that the security situation was horrible as terrorists were openly wandering in the country.

The minister professed as to why the provincial government in KP didn’t carry out developmental projects when at the Punjab government, the same time, was busy introducing various developmental projects.

“We made the target killers flee and brought the peace days back in Karachi. We brought peace in Balochistan as well,” the minister said.

He claimed that Modi’s annoyance over CPEC was understandable however, what can we do if Imran Khan is really irritated with the project?

Giving a message to his opponents, he said that ridiculing and insulting PML-N needs to stop, however he also welcomed their criticism on the occasion.

“There is only one leader within the country and we would never let his character get assassinated,” the ministerrevealed.
