The chief commissioner Islamabad office formed a committee on Monday to listen to the grievances of the people affected from the encroachment drive led by the Capital Development Authority (CDA).
According to a letter issued by the office, the committee named Complaint Redressal Commission under the 1981 Presidential Order.
The committee comprising the officers, the additional deputy commission (Revenue) Islamabad, district attorney general Islamabad as well as the superintendent of police Islamabad.
The letter added that the committee will verify the genuineness of claims of all affectees of the recent anti-encroachment drive and after the examination of their record; a personal hearing shall be forwarded to the appropriate forum for redressal.
It is pertinent to mention that the CDA and Islamabad Capital Territory recently conducted a massive drive against the illegal encroachment in capital to restore the government land in which some of the effected have reservations over the massive drive for which the committee has constituted to listen to their reservations.
