Tribute paid to Sipahi Maqbool Hussain at RAC

The Rawalpindi Arts Council (RAC) on the directions of Punjab Minister for Information and Culture Fayaz ul Hasan Chohan presented a stage play based on the true story of Sipahi Maqbool Hussain on Sunday. The play was held to pay tribute to the hero of Pakistan who spent 40 years in an Indian prison. The play was written and directed by Naheed Manzoor and Riaz Siddique and Yar Muhammad were the assistant directors of the production. The cast included Anjum Malik, Yar Muhammad, Sapna Shah, Saleem Afandi, Javed Ali Sajan, Naeem Bubba and Saleem Bila. Member Punjab Assembly, Farah Agha was the chief guest at the occasion. Other luminaries who attended the stage play included, Fareeda Apa, vice president of the Khubaib Foundation and RAC Director Waqar Ahmed. Speaking on the occasion, Agha said that the true story of Sipahi Maqbool Hussain was an inspirational story of patriotism.
