LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday accepted interim bail plea filed by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Khawaja Saad Rafique and his brother Salman Rafique in Paragon city case.
The LHC heard interim bail petition filed by Saad and Salman Rafique. The counsel of the petitioners argued that both Saad and Salman are fully cooperating with the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and that the court must stop the bureau from potentially arresting the two brothers.

“Saad and Salman are fully cooperating with NAB and are providing all details and documents regarding the case. NAB summons people for inquiry and then arrests them. Therefore, we have reservations and the court is requested to stop NAB from making any potential move of arrest,” the counsel said.
Pertaining to the requests of the counsel, the court granted interim bail to Saad and Salman till October 24 in return of surety bonds of worth Rs500,000 each. Moreover, the LHC allowed NAB to continue its investigation, but directed the corruption watchdog not to arrest the two brothers.
