ISLAMABAD: Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry Sunday said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had once again emerged as the largest political party of the country in the by-election.
In a statement, the minister said the trend in the by-polls had proved that the people of Pakistan were with the PTI. The party is a true symbol of federation, he added. Fawad said all the ‘status quo parties’ had tried to block the way of change in the countries. The opposition parties were now only restricted to some specific areas and constituencies, he added. Later talking to a private TV channel, Fawad said majority of the people had expressed confidence in the leadership and government of PTI. PTI had won six seats out of 11, which he said was an encouraging sign for the party, he added. The PPP, PML-N and others have now reduced to local parties, the minister said, adding that the opposition has been exposed fully in the bye-election.
