Punjab Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi along with his wife and son Rasikh Elahi visited the residence of Naseem Akhtar on Saturday who has embroidered hand written holy Quran on cloth and heartily congratulated him on this noble action.

Talking to media afterwards, he said that he will meet President Dr Arif Alvi and suggest Naseem Akhtar’s name for the President’s Pride of Performance Award. He said he will also bring this to Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar’s notice.

He said that by rendering this unique work, Akhtar has highlighted the name of Gujrat and Pakistan. “I am also grateful to the Saudi government which has duly appreciated the work of this daughter of Pakistan and suggest them to place a volume of it at Masjid-e-Nabawi. I will also ask the ulema to honour her,” Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi said. Thanking Pervaiz Elahi and his family members on the occasion, Akhtar said that she is very happy today that such an eminent family of Gujrat has visited her place.
