KP to seek UN, WB help on mega projects

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Government will get first hand support from United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and World Bank for Completion of mega projects, said by high level delegation in a meeting with KP’s Ministers on Friday at Peshawar. The UNHCR and World Bank assured to provide long term support to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Government in provision of basic amenities of life particularly in the areas which are affected by the decade’s long stay of millions of Afghan Refugees in the Province. The assurance by both the organizations was conveyed to KP Ministers Atif Khan and Shahram Khan Tarakai in a meeting held at Peshawar. The Ministers briefed the High level delegations from Manila and Washington about the adverse effects of the long stay of millions of Afghan Refugees in the Province.
