ISLAMABAD: A special court central of Islamabad on Friday awarded 12 years imprisonment to an accused Shafqat Hussain involved in the crime of human trafficking. Special Judge Central, Malik Nazir, announced the judgement against the accused as he was found guilty during the trial.
The court also imposed a fine worth Rs 0.2 million on the accused Shafqat Hussain.
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) informed the court that the accused had been involved in minting money from a blind woman by offering her to send her abroad for treatment.
The FIA also produced the relevant record and evidence before the court. The victim woman was also present in the court during the proceeding.
The accused Shafqat Hussain was a resident of Rawalpindi.
The FIA had registered a case against him in 2013 under sections 18/22 of EO 1979 & 6PA 1974.
Meanwhile, the fake advisor of CJP, Athar Naeem Abbas, had filed a bail plea in the lower court of Islamabad on Friday.
