ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and its ally parties staged a protest outside the Parliament House against the arrest of PML-N’s President Shehbaz Sharif.
The protesters were chanting the slogans of ‘shame, shame’. Former speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq led the protest session.
PML-N leader and member National Assembly Rana Sanaullah while addressing the protest said that there were no corruption charges against Shehbaz Shariff, but he was still arrested while Babar Awan and Pervez Elahi involved in corruption have not been arrested.
Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PMAP) Senator Usman Kahar, also present at the occasion strongly condemned the arrest of Shehbaz Sharif.
PML-N leader Rana Tanveer Hussain said that Shehbaz Sharif transformed Punjab and whole world praised and acknowledge the work and good governance of Shehbaz.
Earlier, PML-N President and former Punjab chief minister Shehbaz Sharif was arrested by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in the Ashiana Housing Scheme case and later sent on a 20-day physical remand.
Shehbaz Sharif was appeared in the court in Saaf Pani Company case but was arrest in Ashiana Housing Shceme case.
