Farrukh Saleem appointed as govt spokesperson on economy, energy matters

ISLAMABAD: The federal government, on Tuesday, appointed political scientist, commentator and journalist Dr Farrukh Saleem as its spokesperson on economy and energy issues.

Federal Minister for Information Fawad Chaudhry, while making this announcement on his official Twitter handle, said that a notification regarding the appointment will be issued later.

Dr Saleem, an economist, financial analyst and TV personality, also writes columns for English newspapers and journals. Earlier this year, the Supreme Court had appointed Dr Saleem to formulate terms of reference for identifying causes of ever-increasing losses of the Pakistan International Airlines.
