US delegation, FM Qureshi agreed on future cooperation

ISLAMABAD: Ambassador Zalmay Khalilzad, the representative of the US Secretary of State on Afghan reconciliation, called on Foreign Minister (FM) Shah Mahmood Qureshi in Islamabad on Tuesday.

During a meeting with the foreign delegation, FM Qureshi stated that Pakistan has always welcomed the United States (US) efforts for establishing peace in Afghanistan.

He further added that Pakistan will continue to play its part to find a political solution to bring peace in Afghanistan. Both have agreed on future cooperation.

The US delegation arrived in Islamabad on Tuesday.

Moreover, Foreign Office (FO) spokesperson tweeted that Foreign Secretary Tehmina Janjua at the Foreign Ministry recieved the US envoy for delegation level talks today.
