Mayor Lahore Col (R) Mubashir Javed inaugurated the event along with PHA Vice Chairman Iftikhar Ahmed and PHA DG Mian Shakeel. A large number of citizens thronged the garden along with their families and admired the struggle that PHA put for holding the tulip show for them.
Several species of flowers were presented at the show. These included Tulip Sorbet, Lilium Sorbonne, Mix Ranunculus, Tulips Aria Card, Tulip Batavia, Paper White, Gladiolus Violetta, Fritillaria Imperialis Rubra, Allium Globemaster, Amaryllis Summertime and many others.
On the occasion, mayor of Lahore appealed to the citizens to plant flowers in flowerpots and lawns and to even line the streets with flowers in order to make the city beautiful. He said that this would not only enhance the beauty of the city and create a fragrance in our environment, but it would also eliminate pollution and dirt across the city.
