Two bullet-riddled bodies were recovered by police on Sunday near Pir Sher Shah Link road in the precinct of the Jahan Wah police station.

Reportedly, Station House Officer (SHO) Nazar Muhammad Samejo told the media that some passersby spotted dead bodies of 35-year-old Bashir Ahmed and 37-year-old Hameed Marfani, residents of Rabo Marfani village of Shikarpur, and informed police.

Meanwhile, police rushed to the spot and shifted the deceased’s bodies to a nearby hospital for autopsy.

The SHO said that the deceased had criminal records at the Jahan Wah and Hamayon police stations.

He quoted relatives of the deceased, who have alleged that the attack was the result of an old enmity between them and other members of the same community erupted about four years ago.

However, he said that suspects would be arrested as soon as possible.

There are many clans in Northern Sindh who have been fighting each other over trivial issues including claims over agricultural lands, theft, disputes amongst their children, honour killings, financial issues and other minor problems.

Resultantly, scores of villagers lost their lives and dozens of people sustained critical injuries.

The Sindh government should play an active role in resolution of such conflicts.
