The Brazilian midfielder Philippe Coutinho believes that Messi is the best player ever to play this game.

Barcelona trashed Spurs in their last fixture thanks to Lionel Messi who scored a brace.

Ivan Rakitic and Philippe Coutinho scored the first two goals of the match for Barcelona and then a brace from Leo sealed the match for them.

On the other side, Kane and Lamela scored one goal each to show some resistance but they just couldn’t handle the pressure form Spanish giants.

“That was a tough game. This is hard place to come and win. But winning was our objective and we’ve achieved that. Messi is the best in the world, and I must say he’s the best in the history in my opinion. Everything he does is so unpredictable I’m thrilled for him that he scored twice tonight.” Said Coutinho.

Sergio Besquets who was also unstoppable also praised Messi.

“What he gives us going forward with his goals, with his assists, in defense… we were clinical in attack and solid in defense.

“In the second half he had two similar moves, both of which hit the post, but this is the Champions League and it’s very tough to win away.” He said.
