Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has strongly condemned the brutal police torture on the students of University of Peshawar and asked the government not to avenge its continuous failures and U-turns from the students and youth of this country.

In a statement issued on Thursday, the PPP Chairman said that holding peaceful protest for their rights was a democratic right of the students of University of Peshawar and subjecting them to such cruel treatment by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) police was an intolerable act on the part of any democratic government.

Bilawal Bhutto, in his statement, expressed solidarity with the University students and demanded that all the detained students should be freed without any delay and their fees should be reduced to make education affordable for every student aspiring for the higher education.
