LAHORE: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has summoned former chief minister of Punjab and current President of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Shehbaz Sharif in Saaf Pani Company scandal.
Punjab government established the Saaf Pani company to provide clean and quality water to the communities living in unserved and underserved rural and peri-urban areas of the province.
According to the NAB sources, the previous government in Punjab spent Rs 4 billion on the project for clean drinking water but did not provide even a single drop of potable water to masses.
Shehbaz Sharif has already appeared before NAB and submitted his statement in this regard.
The NAB has called upon Shehbaz Sharif on October 5.
Earlier, in May the NAB also summoned Hamza Shehbaz in the same case.
