CM condemns firing incident in Bahawalnagar

BAHAWALNAGAR: Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Shehbaz Sharif has taken notice of firing incident at Haroonabad.

Earlier, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader and former Member of Punjab Assembly Shaukat Basra was injured, while his personal assistant was killed in a gunfight in Bahawalnagar on Monday.

The exchange of fire took place between supporters of the PPP and Pakistan Muslim League-Zia (PML-Z) in Bahawalnagar’s Haroonabad area. Several people were injured in the firing.

The CM sought a report from the DPO and directed to arrest the culprits immediately. CM also expressed deep sorrow and grief over the death of a person due to firing.
