Traffic warden’s killer arrested in Hassanabad

Murder of a traffic police warden has been booked by local police.

According to the spokesperson of Rawalpindi police, the accused Umar Naveed and Raheel Sajid who murdered traffic warden Asghar Butt in an attempt of robbery at his residence on July 23, has been arrested by Civil Lines Police from Allaf Shah Graveyard Hassanabad area.

During interrogation, the accused accepted 10 more crimes. The police has also recovered weapons, money worth Rs 5,800 and two motorcycles from their possession.

It is pertinent to mention that a press conference was called by Superintendent of Police Pothohar Division Usman Tariq on Tuesday to give briefing to the media regarding this achievement but journalists boycotted the press conference due to a delay of one hour on part of SP Pothohar Town.
