Criminal escapes from police custody in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: A criminal named Javed Illyas escaped from police car after taking advantage of a traffic jam and street protest in Hyderabad on Monday night.

According to the details, Illyas fled from police custody after the car got stuck in a protest which was being staged by the residents against power outages.

The police officials stated that he was being taken to identity other suspects.

A search operation was started in the area after he escaped.

However, Hyderabad Senior Superintendent of Police Adeel Chandio has not yet confirmed the reports regarding Illyas’s escape.

Furthermore, Illyas is wanted by the police for his involvement in 14 cases according to the reports.
