SHIKARPUR: Shikarpur Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Zeeshan Shafiq Siddiqui has been directed to report at the Central Police Office Karachi apparently owing to his failure to maintain law and order in the area.

No one else has yet been posted as the SSP Shikarpur.

Locals complained that during Siddiqui’s stint as the SSP lawlessness had prevailed and violent conflicts took place between tribal factions. They said 16 people, including three passersby, were reported killed in a recent clash between two groups in the Katcha area of Khanpur.

Rally held against corruption: The country, especially Sindh province, has been suffering due to corruption for a long time now. The officers involved in corrupt practices need to be exposed to the nation. This was stated by Fareed Farooqi, the chairman of the Watan Foundation. He was speaking at a rally held from Lakhi Gate to Rustam Chowk.
