COAS, ISI chief call on PM Imran

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has held a meeting with Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa and Director General Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Lt. General Naveed Mukhtar in the Prime Minister House today.

The meeting is being considered important in the context of Indian Army Chief’s recent threats to Pakistan.

According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), matters pertaining to internal security and regional stability were discussed in the meeting.

Moreover, the prime minister was also briefed on Operation Raad-ul-Fasaad, while relations with Afghanistan and FATA reforms also came under discussion.

Earlier, the army’s top brass had assured the prime minister that their institution would ‘continue to deliver on the nation’s expectations of defending the motherland at all costs and sacrifices’.
