RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa Friday confirmed death sentences of 11 hardcore terrorists awarded by the military courts.
The convicts were involved in terrorist activities, killing of innocent civilians and attack on security forces which left 69 people dead and wounded 149 people, a statement issued by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.
Among those awarded death sentences were Zaid Muhammad, Naimatullah, Maseen Zada, Muhammad Rehman, Azmatullah, Muhammad Rakeem, Akram Khan, Naik Wali, Fazal Rehman and Rehmat Zada.
They confessed their offences before the magistrate and the trial court.
