3 killed, one injured in separate incidents

KARACHI: Three people have been killed and one got injured in separate incidents in the city on Tuesday.

Early morning, a body was found from the jurisdiction of Steel Town police station.

Sources said that Ghulam Nabi, 39, has been tortured to death. The deceased was the resident of Dera Bugti.

The body was later shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate and Medical Center.

In an other incident the body of a 60-year-old man was found from his house in Ittehad Town area.

Police said that Hazrat Umer, son of Muqadar Khan, was found dead with his throat cut at his house in Jhangvi Chowk, Ittehad Town.

Relatives said that the deceased had himself slit his throat as he was mentally retarded.

The body was later shifted to a hospital.

Meanwhile, a college lecturer was injured in firing by unknown person in the New Karachi Industrial Area on Tuesday.

Rescue sources have informed that the lecturer later identified as Aziz-ur- Rehman was injured when an unknown person opened fire on him in Sector 5-G of Industrial Area, New Karachi. He was shifted to a nearby hospital.

Police have started investigation into the incident.

A man was killed after being hit by a speeding vehicle in Baldia Town on Tuesday.

Rescue sources have said that 25-year-old Adnan Iqbal, a resident of Baldia Town was killed when a speeding vehicle hit him on Metroville road in SITE area.

His body was later shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
