Indian Air Force vice chief accidentally shoots himself

NEW DELHI: Indian Air Force (IAF) vice chief Air Marshal Shirish Baban Deo shot himself in the thigh by accident on Wednesday.

The vice chief Deo was taken to a hospital in New Delhi where he was treated. Moreover, he is in a stable condition now and will be discharged from the hospital soon, reported Indian media.

He suffered a minor injury while he was putting his handgun away after returning from his office.

In 1979, Shirish Baban Deo was commissioned as a fighter pilot and he took charge as IAF vice chief in July 2018.
