RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAF) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on his visit to North Waziristan District has directed the authorities to focus on stability operations and socio-economic development to achieve enduring peace in the area.
An Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) statement said that COAS was briefed in security situation, border management and progress of development works and rehabilitation of TDPs in the district.
In his address to the officers and soldiers the COAS hailed their courage and spirits of sacrifice and said that we shall never allow the reign of terror to return again.
The army chief said that it is the time for Waziristan and other districts to flourish and prosper.
