NAUNDERO: Future of about 300 female students has been put at stake in the Government Girls Primary School in Garibabad locality of Naundero, due to lack of teachers for the last three months.

Reportedly, students informed the media that three teachers, who had been imparting education to students of class IV and V in their school, were transferred suddenly without any replacement. Meanwhile, many students have got admission in other schools; some of them have abandoned studies, whereas the remaining students have been suffering.

Students Iqra, Aqsa, Shabana, Murk and others on Tuesday told the media that they were being deprived of their right to education, and their future has been put at risk with illiteracy in the modern age of science and technology.

They further accused education department of severe irregularities and mismanagement, and said that their annual exams were approaching but they were unprepared. “What kind of education emergency has been imposed in the province?” they said.

Furthermore, parents of students claimed that instead of strengthening and improving quality of education, providing sufficient teachers, the education department has been operating under influential politicians and persons, who did not have any concerns about education of children of poverty-stricken families. They requested the provincial government to remove such irregularities from the education department.
